Writing is a source of unending fascination and joy for me, especially when it’s hard and the page is challenging me to adapt and learn and push through. I would not sacrifice one moment of that frustration, growth, and satisfaction for anything. So, given current technologies, I want to be clear:

• I do not now, have never, and will never use AI in any aspect of my writing, books, reader replies, presentations, or teaching

• I do not use any form of AI where I can possibly avoid it

• I do not support the use of AI in the arts and will not knowingly consume or promote work generated in any part by these technologies
